Information: | It was in the year of 1976 when Kike Chacón went to Playa Grande with his Father Eloy Chacón on deer hunting trip with his friend Miguel Angel Barquero who already knew the area. It was that trip to Playa Grande that captured Kike's heart, it was during a second trip a couple of months later when they bought the land which still later was going to become the cabins, bar & restaurant that we know today as Kike's place. The grounds were first used as vacation grounds for friends and family. In 1980 it became the first small place to eat in Playa Grande. After that they build the first two rooms. In 1984 the first liquor license for Playa Grande was bought. With the clock ticking the time passed and Yani, Kikes wife moved to Playa Grande and with her husband their dream that started in the 70's finally became a reality and is today a "must stop" if you are in Playa Grande. |
