Each human life is unique and its projection is a priority. Without a doubt, the right to life is a fundamental basic of our existence and security. Human rights expressly prohibit homicides due to abusive use of the police force, homicides in prisons of the state, as well as extralegal, arbitrary or summary executions. Human rights expressly prohibit genocide and limit the application of the death penalty. The right to life obligates state authorities to protect people against assassinations committed by private agents. The International Humanitarian Right protects the life of civilians, of the sick and injured and prohibits the use of weapons of mass destruction.
